Matthew Cogswell

Matthew, a native of Charlottesville, Virginia, is an Associate Attorney in the Charlotte, NC Office. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. He received his J.D. from Elon University School of Law. While earning his J.D., he served as a student attorney at the Elon Law Small Business & Entrepreneurship Clinic and was elected as a student leader of the Elon Law Tax Clinic.

Matthew focuses his practices in the areas of financial services litigation, focusing on creditor’s rights, litigation, and defense. Additionally, Matthew handles real property matters, including foreclosure and title curative work.
