Kernersville Southern Loop Project – NCDOT Eminent Domain

Big Mill Farm/Hopkins Road Project in Kernersville located in Forsyth County, North Carolina.

This Kernersville Road project will widen and extend Big Mill Farm Rd. and improve Hopkins Rd. from Harmon Creek Rd. to NC 66.  There will also be a new intersection at U.S. 421/Salem Parkway. Planning initially  began with a feasibility study back in 2008 and now, right of way acquisition is set to begin. Additional right of way is required for this project and will likely be obtained through eminent domain. This project is nearing the right of way acquisition phase and the impacts will be significant. If you own property that is impacted by this project, you have been contacted by representative of the N.C.D.O.T. or will be contacted by one shortly. It is important to review the initial compensation package carefully.

As a landowner, you have a right to “Just Compensation” for your property. Determining what represents “Just Compensation” can often be a complex task and may require the assistance of appraisers or experts. Our firm cannot make any guarantees about future results, but our eminent domain attorneys have the experience necessary to guide you through the condemnation process and help make sure that the amount offered represents just compensation. For more information on this project, give us a call for a free, no obligation consultation.

At Bell, Carrington, Price, & Gregg, we do not require our eminent domain clients to pay any attorney fees up front and are you are never required to pay out of pocket. All eminent domain fees are contingent upon the outcome of the case and are paid at the time of settlement from the amount recovered. You can learn more about how this works during your initial consultation.  We are property lawyers that specialize in condemnation law and we utilize our expertise in determining the value of the taking in order to get you the best offer.  Call to speak to one of our condemnation lawyers now.
