US 17 Intersection Improvements

The S.C.D.O.T. plans to make intersection improvements along US Hwy 17 at three key intersections in Horry County. Intersection improvements will be located at Inlet Square Dr., Atlantic Ave., and the Garden City Connector. Additional right of way is required for this project and will likely be obtained through eminent domain. This project is nearing the right of way acquisition phase and the impacts will be significant.  If you own property that is impacted by this project, you have been contacted by a representative of the S.C.D.O.T. or will be contacted by one shortly. Some landowners have already received initial communication. It is important to review the initial compensation package carefully.
